The Staff
Overview
The department was established in 2011 after reorganising the independent departments of Lithuanian Language and Lithuanian Linguistics. It cooperates with Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia) and Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank (Belarus). There are currently 54 undergraduate and 10 master students writing their theses with the department.

Lithuanian Philology. Full-time (4 years, 240 ECTS credits) and part-time (5 years, 160 ECTS credits) studies.
Lithuanian Philology and Text Processing. Full-time studies of 4 years, 160 ECTS credits
Master
Lithuanian Philology. Full-time studies of 2 years, 120 ECTS credits.

Accentology, Advertisement Stylistics, Dialectology, Editing Practice, Grammar Norms and Contemporary Usage, Historical Grammar, Introduction to Lexicography, Introduction to Linguistics, Language and Gender, Lexicology, Linguistic Text Analysis, Lithuanian Language Culture, Morphology, New Vocabulary Processing, Phonetics, Problems in the Usage of Cases and Prepositions, Prussian Language, Syntax, Sound Stylistics, Stylistics, Text Editing Theory, Text Linguistics, Verbal Communication. All the subjects are taught in Lithuanian.
Master
Comparative Language Linguistics, Comparative Lithuanian and Latvian Vocabulary, Ethnolinguistics, Functional Grammar, History of the Lithuanian Language, Language and Communication, Morphonology, Onomastics, Phonology, Sociolinguistics, Text Creation Theory, Text Typology, Universal Linguistics. All the subjects are taught in Lithuanian except for Onomastics, which is also delivered in English.
