Overview

The department was established in 1966 as a Department of School Hygiene. In 1980 it was merged with the Civil Defence Cabinet and renamed to the Department of Physiology and Hygiene. Then the department, along with School Hygiene students, trained reserve nurses. In 2003 the department was renamed to the Department of Health Education. In 2011 it was restructured and renamed again to the Department of Health and Physical Education.
The department currently has 67 undergraduate students and 1 PhD student and teaches Health Education subject, which is also taught in English.
